Oh, you're correct - Messiaen is brilliant. And SOME of the early
minimalist pieces too, before they turned into runny swill.

That said, it gives me a kick to listen to 17th century music and think
that it sounds so much more "modern" and full of life than some of the
drek that people like Stokhausen produce.
