It's not true. Talkback explained the nature of the programme very clearly,
and all parents of children were informed as to what type of programme it
would be.

In fact, the 8 year old boy they are claiming was tricked appeared in Jam,
so it doesn't seem too likely that it was a massive shock for them.

I expect that the Mail either made it up, or gave the guy a good reason for
saying it.
