Caller on Jon Gaunt complaining that British comedy is at its all time low.

"[If] we go back 20, 30 years ago... Dad's Army, which was the best one of
the lot... Bless This House... they were brilliantly written comedies."

I only discovered this appalling show was on in the mornings recently. It's
great fun to listen for ten minutes, and then trying to switch off before
the blood vessels in your eyeballs pop.

"When you think of Butlins... which were breeding grounds for comics, well
they're just not around any more."

My colleague's blood vessels in her eyeballs have popped. It's amazing. The
white bits have gone red. She looks like a demon.
