OOps, knew I'd forgotten another aspect of my tilt post.  Ha ha!  Cos, you 
all know hwo sturdy my psyche is: you must have been thinking "hmmm, this 
isn't like Graeme, to be so easily upset, he's normally so balanced.  There 
*must* be something else."

Yes, absolutely right.

On the same ITV news they were talking about the new law where you can kill 
burglars.  It had a head of police saying:

"Let's be clear: if in the heat of the moment you feel yourself inj danger, 
then yes, you can attack that burglar and if this results in a death, then 
so be it.  However..."

This is *great*.

"However, if we take an extreme case: for example where you knock the 
burglar unconscious; put them in a small hole; throw petrol over them; then 
set them on fire.  That would be deemed excessive force."

No fucking shit chief const.  Well, I'm glad you warned me, cos I was 
already keeping firelighters under the pillow at night.

What I really love though is "small hole".   *SMALL* hole.   Small.
