Which is all right, actually. It reminds me of more innocent times of
playing keepy uppy with a blow football set.

Apparently, though, I'm not allowed to play with the oxygen machine
because it will make dad go wrong. I'm not sure if that's sufficient
reason to deny myself some innocent floaty fun.

I think I'll conflate the entities of the machine and my dad. The
machine has a meter, an alarm and a trip switch.

Through conflation I'll be able to use phrases like "the man's come
'round to read dad" and "dad's gone off again" and "it's OK, I think
we can reset dad now."
