Jon

"This *really* gets on my tits. I work for a B2B BT Wholesale Service
Provider. And every so often, some doddery old granny on a farm will call
up, and ask why her bill is 2 grand (yes, £2000), when it's usually £20
'cos the only calls she makes are to her daughter in Wales. Look on the
calls she's made, and she'll have 30 - 40 0906 numbers lasting 12 - 24 hours."

I would respectfully suspect that this is not intentional.

" The worst thing is - we can't do anything. If we have 3 of those
customers per Month, we're looking anywhere from a couple of grand to a
shit load more. And we just cannot absorb the cost - we get charged from BT
Wholesale, and BT are heartless, souless money sucking bastards, so they
will never, and I mean NEVER help out."

No and I'd say that the legislation is correct. You need to renogotiate with BT. Or sort your business practices out. Cut them off after 20 minutes and carry on doing it unless they complain

"It's a shitter - but we're tied. And quite often it's made out to be OUR
fault - I get so much shit over this, it's untrue."

It IS your fault you are allowing the old and doddery to leave their line connected at a premium rate. Stop it now.

Jon.
