Filter out the delete messages or complain to abuse at yahoo. He he that was
a joke. Complain to Yahoo. I've made my sides hurt. Or you can dump 'em
locally. Just anti-spam any message like that on title is probably easiest.
I'd fire off a complaint though. They are playing at being a proper company.
Interesting to see if you can actually get a reply from yahoo. Last time I
tried 5 years ago there was no way.
I got a helpful reply which used the same technical terms I used, but
helpfully placing them in quotes and providing an explanation of what
they meant, and described my problem as I outlined it to them.
They described the problem I described to them back to me. That was not
helpful.
So, I'd said:
"Your mail server bounced a messgae I sent yesterday and has been
sending error messages every two minutes since"
And their reply said:
"A ''bounced'' message occurs when blah de blah de blah de blah... this
means that... blah de blah blah..."
And took on all my other points in a similar vein.
To which I said:
"I know what all the words in my message meant. What I am seeking is..."
And had to press my fingernails into the palms of my hands to prevent me
typing YOU FUCKING COCKWITS.
I have set Thunderbird to mark it all as junk, but for some reason it
*sometimes* moves them automatically to trash, but other times it just
marks them as junk without moving them. But on *all* occasions my inbox
has a little mark indicating I';ve got new mail.
And - the worst part - I'm not getting my usual mail mixed in with it.
When I start up Thunderbird I get a message about 'not being able to
write to inbox' or something.
I'll phone them tomorrow if I hear nowt by mid afternoon.
