There is a great difference between looking after and respecting your family, 
and lying about pretending to like them. To ignore this is childish.

My grandmother was a horrible woman. She made my father's life hellish 
whenever she could, since he was a child. She died of cancer, and took two 
years to do it. In the end she was entirely composed of cancerous cells - 
Cancer Woman.

So of course we looked after her, travelling endlessly back and forth to 
Wales. Why? Because she was a member of the family.

But it would be a pathetic lie if I had to pretend that I thought she was the 
bestest woman ever, because a more civilised society would *demand* that I 
did.

That you immediately jump to an easy jibe about the Bible  demonstrates you 
unwillingness to consider the point that in a reasonable society, one is 
entitled to have opinions and feelings about people based on what they are 
like. Try harder.
