Oh, Beck, "the incredibly famous singer" that I know nothing about. I'm
happily ignorant of a lot of Popular Music. Unless he's part of a sixties
'Mod' band, or a dj, it's extremely unlikely that I'll know who he is.

example
When I worked at H.A Rodds, I spent half an hour chatting to Seal
(apparently this was pretty much at the height of his Sealness). Afterwards
my colleagues rushed over:

Them: Oh, my god, you know who that was, don't you?

Me: Errm, no.

Them: That was Seal!

Me: Who hell he?

>Mutations, Odelay, Midnight Vultures.

And these would be what? "incredibly famous" songs/albums?

In short, you've failed to educate me as to who Beck is, or why you think
he's a cool geek. I'd suggest Mick Jagger is an "incredibly famous singer",
whilst Beck is merely quite well known.

Cheers,
Tom.
