I'm not sure, but it's between an inch and a metre, I'm certain of that.
Another one of my pet hates, that.

I have observed (Iannucci style) that there is no person, in any job, to
whom you can ask any sort of question, and not receive a "well, it depends"
answer.

"I'm not asking you to commit to anything, but roughly how much will it
cost?" will always... ALWAYS... receive "well, it depends.... {go on for
hours}..." even though they know full well it doesn't.

I went into a neon sign shop once, asked how much a neon sign costs.  He
replied, "it's like asking how long is a piece of string, isn't it?".  "No,"
I thought, "it's not.  What, so it could cost 50p could it?  It could cost
1.8m could it?"

Bastards.
